No Mas

No Mas Myspace. Its official I deleted my account and I feel liberated! I never checked it anymore. And when I did it felt like I was using a PC. What I mean by that: it was horribly organized, took forever, it was outdated and was always trying to be like facebook (kinda like PCs are now trying to be like Macs).

I felt like it was a long time coming. Especially after reading this article. its from the website www.stuffwhitepeoplelike.com. Its a satrical blog that cracks us up. I promise I'm not a racist. Anywho, here is my favorite excerpt.

"For a brief period of time, MySpace was the site where everyone kept their profile and managed their friendships. But soon, the service began to attract fake profiles, the wrong kind of white people, and struggling musicians. In real world terms, these three developments would be equivalent to a check cashing store, a TGIFridays, and a housing project. All which strike fear in the hearts of white people.

White people were nervous but had nowhere else to go. Then Facebook came along and offered advanced privacy settings, closed networks, and a clean interface. In respective real world terms, these features are analogous to an apartment or house with a security system/doorman, an alumni dinner, and a homeowners association that protects the aesthetics of the neighborhood. In spite of these advances, some white people still clung to their old MySpace accounts. That was until they learned that Facebook started, like so many things beloved by white people, at Harvard."

I feel a really great not having a Myspace anymore. But its cool if you have one ;)

I hate Myspace. The only reason I log in to it once every three months is because my brother is on there and NOT Facebook. He used to be one of like three friends I'd actually contact on there and now he's my last string...I might have to just cut it off.

You really should. Tell your brother to get with the times! I really only had a few people left on myspace and I told them to get a facebook months ago. Hopefully they will take my advice.
